The SFDA has confirmed that it is the competent authority to examine
tobacco products, prepare its standards specifications, and issue and approve
them. Therefore, the Authority has issued a circular regarding the receive of
licenses for private laboratories wishing to conduct testing and analysis of
tobacco and its products.
