The Riyadh Economic Forum held yesterday, at the headquarters of the Jeddah Chamber, the second discussion session for the study titled “The Impact of Traffic Congestion in Major Cities of the Kingdom: Causes and Solutions.” This comes as part of the preparations for the Forum’s twelfth edition, scheduled to be held in October 2026, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him.
The session opened with a welcoming address by the Jeddah Chamber, followed by a presentation and discussion of a number of initiatives and strategic ideas aimed at improving mobility efficiency and enhancing quality of life in major cities across the Kingdom. The session was attended by officials from government entities, foremost among them the Jeddah Municipality and the Jeddah Development Authority, in addition to a distinguished group of academics from King Abdulaziz University, as well as businessmen and businesswomen.
At the conclusion of the session, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Riyadh Economic Forum, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Anqari, expressed his appreciation to the Jeddah Chamber for hosting the event, praising the participants’ contributions in enriching the study with insights and initiatives. He also emphasized the importance of the study in supporting national efforts to address traffic congestion challenges, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and in enhancing the quality of services provided to city users.
It is worth noting that the Riyadh Economic Forum is a strategic think tank that seeks to diagnose national economic issues and propose practical solutions through in-depth scientific studies and effective partnerships between the public and private sectors, contributing to sustainable development and supporting decision-makers in the Kingdom.
