​​On the sideline of His visit to the Kingdom, H.E. President of the Republic of the Philippines, Rodrigo Dutertte, paid a visit to Riyadh Chamber on Wednesday morning, 12 April 2017, and discussed with the Saudi businesspeople the aspects of cooperation and mutual relations between the business sectors of the two friendly countries as well as the means of boosting such relations in the economic and investment fields. The meeting was attended by Engr. Mansour Al- Shathri, Deputy Chairman of Riyadh Chamber, a number of board members and the acting Secretary-General of Riyadh Chamber. Engr. Al-Shathri welcomed H.E. the president and the members of the accompanying delegation and expressed his appreciation to H.E.'s gesture to meet with an elite group of Saudi businesspeople, confirming that it was an excellent opportunity to discuss means of enhancing trade, investment and partnership between the private sectors of the two friendly countries. Earlier in the morning, the Philippine Minister of Commerce held meetings with Saudi businesspeople. The Chamber has also witnessed meetings between representatives of the Philippine companies and their Saudi counterparts. The head of the Philippine Economic Authority, Ghariti Plaza, signed a number of trade and investment cooperation agreements with a number of representatives of Saudi companies.
