​Riyadh Chamber held an honoring ceremony for its former Board Chairman and Members as well as its major Committee Chairmen and members in addition to its former Secretary-General who turned the sixteenth session. The event has been held in the presence of both the former and the current Board Chairmen and Members. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Zamil, the Ex-Chairman of Riyadh Chamber, extended his thanks and appreciation to those organized the event. Engr. Ahmad Suleiman Al-Rajhi, the current Chairman of Riyadh Chamber commended the former Committee Chairmen and members of the last session. In addition, he pointed out that the role of Riyadh Chamber's Board would be doubled under the restructuring of the national economy and the diversifying of the income resources in light of the Kingdom's National Transformation Program (2020) and Future Vision (2030). Mr.  Ahmad Al-Suwailem, the acting Secretary-General of Riyadh Chamber, enumerated few of the many accomplishments achieved under the Board of the former session. It supported the national initiative to transform Riyadh into a regional business hub by 2020 and enhanced Riyadh competitiveness in local and foreign conferences and exhibitions. The Board also boosted this trend by launching the construction of a new hotel in the vicinity of Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) with an estimated investment of SR 200 million riyals, and completing the designs for the RICEC area expansion of 6000 square meters with an estimated investment of about SR 35 million riyals.
