A delegation from the Riyadh Chamber, headed by the Chairman of the Board, Eng. Abdullah Al-Obaikan, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Chamber and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) during a meeting with the Authority’s CEO, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Suwailim. The discussions aimed to support the business sector in the Riyadh Region, and included a review of the Kingdom’s National Intellectual Property Strategy.
The meeting featured a briefing on the Chamber’s efforts, including the establishment of a Data Office and Economic Labs, as well as discussions on partnership opportunities between the Chamber and the Authority. Areas of cooperation included organizing guidance sessions for the private sector, the Authority’s participation in Chamber events and awareness campaigns, and an overview of intangible intellectual property assets and intellectual property empowerment programs.
For his part, Eng. Al-Obaikan highlighted the importance of the meeting, noting that the delegation was introduced to high-quality achievements and impactful efforts undertaken by the Authority. He explained that intellectual property has become a key investment enabler for protecting innovation and transforming ideas into economic assets that drive business growth and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy. He added:
