The Chamber’s Financial Services and Investment Committee held its regular meeting, chaired by Board Member and Committee Chairman Mr. Salem Al-Ajmi. During the meeting, a number of topics and challenges related to the financial services and investment sector were discussed, as part of the committee’s ongoing efforts to enhance sector efficiency and support its growth.
The meeting included a review of the latest developments of the Riyadh Insurance Forum, as well as a discussion on prospects for transformation and integration within the insurance sector and the opportunities this creates for developing products and services and enhancing competitiveness. The outcomes report of the workshop focused on identifying private sector challenges was also presented, highlighting the key challenges facing the sector and discussing the main findings and recommendations outlined in the report. In addition, the committee reviewed its key activities and plans for 2026, aimed at achieving its objectives and strengthening its role in supporting economic development.
The meeting recommended studying existing financing platforms and exploring ways to enhance their role to ensure broader benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to facilitate their access to appropriate financing solutions. The committee also emphasized the importance of continued coordination with relevant stakeholders and the development of initiatives that support the sector and promote sustainability and growth.
