In its regular meeting held on Tuesday evening 23 May 2017, the Board of Riyadh Chamber, chaired by Engr. Ahmed Bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, issued a resolution appointing Mr. Ahmed Bin Ali Al-Suwailem as Secretary-General of Riyadh Chamber. Mr. Al-Suwailem commended the Board's confidence in him, emphasizing his keenness and the secretariat staff's to enhance the Chamber's role in strengthening and serving the business sector in Riyadh as a part of the new Chamber's strategy. Mr. Al-Suwailem has been awarded a B.Sc. in Accounting by the College of Business Administration in King Saud University by 2000, a CPA fellowship, a Master's degree in Financial Sciences form George Washington University in 2009, a CMA Fellowship from the US in 2011, a CerlFRS in 2012. Mr. Al-Suwailem also has built a financial and administrative experience in several major companies; lead auditor at Arthur Anderson (2000-2002), Manager of Administrative and Control Information Systems and Investors' Relations at the Saudi Investment Bank (2002 – 2012), Vice-Chairman and Chief Financial Officer for the KSA at the GIB (2012 – 2014), Assistant Secretary-General for Support Services in Riyadh Chamber in 2014, and Acting Secretary-General of Riyadh Chamber since June 2016.
