The number of labour cases has reached 20 percent of the total number of complaints filed in the National Society for Human Rights. This is what Dr. Mifleh bin Rubayan Al-Qahtani said, who is the general director of the Society, in the signing ceremony of a memorandum between the National Society for Human Rights, and Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also said that the larger portion of labour cases, centered around physical rights, adding that domestic workers are not subject to the work law, and therefore it is essential to focus on regulating the relation between the workers and the employers, within the framework of Islamic law, in such a way that preserves rights of both sides, and to create a good working environment. He also referred to the work regulations that are put forward before the Shura Council, which he hopes to be approved very soon.
