As part of efforts to strengthen the role of the education sector and support its sustainability, Eng. Abdullah Al-Obeikan, Chairman of the Board of the Riyadh Chamber, met with Mr. Iyad Al-Qurashi, Assistant Minister of Education, to discuss a number of issues of importance to the education sector. The meeting, held at the Chamber’s headquarters, was attended by several officials from the Ministry and the Chamber, including Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Fahd, Chairman of the Chamber’s Education Committee, and Mr. Nasser Abu Haimed, Secretary-General of the Riyadh Chamber.
The meeting emphasized the importance of developing enablers that contribute to the growth of private education by building an effective partnership between the Ministry of Education and investors. This partnership would be based on regulatory clarity, streamlined procedures, and strengthened confidence in the investment environment to ensure the protection of investments and achieve financial and operational sustainability for the sector.
Participants also underscored the need to introduce flexible regulatory solutions that promote fair competition, align with investors’ aspirations, enhance the quality of educational outcomes, stimulate demand for private education, and support the stability of educational institutions.
